Knowledge Studio enforces capacity limits and format constraints across workspaces, knowledge bases, file uploads, chunks, and retrieval services. Limits are organized by workflow stage below. Request quota increases via support tickets.
Workspace & Knowledge Base
Workspaces are the top-level isolation container; each workspace can contain multiple knowledge bases.

File Upload
Knowledge bases support documents, spreadsheets, images, audio, and video. Format and size constraints vary by type.

PDF files are text-extracted directly; scanned documents are auto-OCR'd. Spreadsheets are chunked by row with the first row as field names. Markdown is split by headings; HTML automatically strips script/style tags.

Chunking
Chunks are the retrieval unit of a knowledge base. Chunking strategy and max chunk size are configured during import.

Chunking strategy (smart / by length / by page / by heading / by regex / by delimiter) and max chunk size are configured during data import and cannot be changed after creation. Knowledge Search & Chat Services
